Targeted Training Enables Second Nature Response
Critical Information Network (CiNet), LLC, and its Law Enforcement Training Network (LETN) announce the release of the newly updated Patrol Officer training series. Law Enforcement personnel often have only a split-second to prevent a crime, detain a suspect or contain a potentially volatile situation. LETN’s new interactive video and web-based patrol training is designed to arm personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to protect citizenry and infrastructure while enhancing their own safety.
"Our officers are able to complete the necessary training anywhere, at their own pace. We have a few officers who have worked in courseware activity while on duty direct from their mobile data terminals. Distance learning and LETN’s online training management capability offers a well-balanced solution to the growing need within the rural heartland. Departments cannot afford the high cost of sending officers away for training that could be fulfilled online. The cost savings alone – between travel and back has been one of the greatest benefits to our anemic budget," said Brad Clark, Chief of Police, Grandview Plaza, KS Police Department.
Training courses are constructed by experienced multi-media and instructional design professionals offering an engaging video-rich format, interactive learning activities and collateral materials available to support instructor-led training creating a comprehensive and effective blended learning approach. The 10-part AICC/SCORM and ADA 508(c) compliant series addresses both routine and high-profile events facing law enforcement professionals every day. The series includes courses such as: Behaviors That Could Cost You Your Life, The Schertz, Texas Shootout, The Trooper Stone Shooting, The Rolling Gun Battle, Gang Trends, Drug Raid Planning, Intelligence-Led Policing: Fusion Centers, Active Shooter, Legal Update: Pursuit Driving, and Human Trafficking.
"LETN’s new Patrol Series includes high–quality video of actual high-profile events captured on patrol car cameras and demonstrations from the field. The latest interactive instructional design methods are engaged to maximize the learning experience, increasing retention and improving performance," stated CiNet President and CEO Steve Albright. "Our law enforcement content is developed by well-known subject matter experts and leading instructors from the training community committed to the core mission of delivering relevant in-service content designed to fulfill mandated state POST continuing education requirements."
